The Change of Command at the Equipment Provisioning and Accounting Unit, SLAF Base Katunayake was conducted yesterday (23 January 2023). The traditional Handing Over / Taking Over parade took place at the unit parade square where the outgoing Commanding Officer Group Captain B S De S Weerawardena USP, BSc (Def Stu) handed over the command to Group Captain RML Randeniya USP, BA (Def Stu) psc.

The outgoing Commanding Officer, Group Captain B S De S Weerawardena took over the command of the Equipment Provisioning and Accounting Unit on 14 February 2022 and he will take over the appointment as the Commanding Officer of Aircraft Spares Depot at SLAF Base Katunayake.

The new Commanding Officer, Group Captain RML Randeniya previously held the appointment of Commanding Officer No 02 Supply & Maintenance Depot at SLAF Base Hingurakgoda before being appointed as the Commanding Officer.
