Sri Lankan Military Trained on UN Peacekeeping Mission Deployments and Operations

The first UN Logistic Officer’s Course (a 12 day course)was recently
conducted by the United Nations Peace Keeping School, Kukuleganga. The
course was spearheaded by US Pacific Command based in Hawaai and was a
program conducted under its Global Peace Support Initiative.
Four trainers from the 'International Peace Support Initiative' conducted the course along with Sri Lankan trainers. Twenty five officers from Sri Lanka Army, Navy and Air Force participated in the course. The training focused on all aspects of logistics related to UN Peacekeeping Mission deployments and operations.
