54TH PHASE OF GUWAN MITHUDAM PROJECT CONCLUDES AT DIYATALAWA

The 54th phase of the 'Guwan Mithudam' project was successfully accomplished yesterday (31 March 2023) at the B/ Kahataruppa Maha Vidyalaya located in the Badulla District. The SLAF Combat Training School Diyatalawa, under the guidance of the Chairperson of the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs Charmini Pathirana, completed the project with utmost proficiency.
The school, which educates approximately 600 students, underwent a complete renovation of a building comprising four classrooms, including cementing floors, providing electricity and water supply, and colour washing. Moreover, the abandoned Children's Park was also refurbished and handed over to the students of B/ Kahataruppa Maha Vidyalaya by the Commanding Officer of the SLAF Combat Training School Diyatalawa, Air Commodore Vajira Senadheera.
The project was funded by the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit and the SLAF Combat Training School Diyatalawa. The ceremony was attended by a cross-section of officers and other ranks of the station, as well as the principal, teachers and students of the school.
