The Awarding Ceremony of Air Crew Qualification Insignia was held today (27 April 2023) at Air Force Headquarters, where the Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Sudarshana Pathirana, graced the event as the chief guest. Accordingly, Flight Engineer, Load Master, Air Surveillance Brevets and Fighter Controllers' Badges were awarded to the individuals who qualified for the respective training courses.

The awardee who received the Air Surveillance Brevet completed the training on B-200 and Y-12 aircraft at No. 03 Squadron, SLAF Academy China Bay; the Load Master Brevet awardee had completed the training at SLAF Base Katunayake; personnel who received Flight Engineer Brevets completed their respective trainings in No. 02 Squadron at SLAF Base Katunayake and No. 06 Squadron at SLAF Base Anuradhapura and the Fighter Controller Badges awardees completed their respective trainings at Fighter Controller Training Unit, Bangladesh and Air Defence College, India successfully.
