The SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit, together with the Directorate of Health Services, organized a one-day workshop for premarital and newly married couples of SLAF in view of providing them with better knowledge and understanding to lead a successful married life. The programme was conducted yesterday (27 April 2023) at SLAF Base Katunayaka.

Chairperson SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs. Charmini Pathirana, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and the event was attended by Director General Health Services, Air Vice Marshal (Dr.) Lalith Jayaweera, Director General Welfare, Air Vice Marshal Suharshie Fernando, Base Commander SLAF Base Katunayaka, Air Vice Marshal Lasitha Sumanaweera and Commanding Officer Air Force Hospital Katunayaka, Air Commodore Niluka Abeysekara. 150 personnel participated in the event, including newly married SLAF personnel with their spouses and SLAF personnel who are planning to get married in the near future together with their intended spouses.

Dr. Sarath Mandalawaththa, Prof. Neranji Wijewardana, Mrs. Badra Udawaththa, Mr. Rohan Samarawickrama, Deputy Inspector General, Mrs. Renuka Jayasundara, Wing Commander Susil Premarathna, and Squadron Leader Shanaka Thilakarathna were the resource personnel who shared their knowledge and experience while conducting interactive and activity-based sessions.
