ANOTHER STEP IN THE PROCESS OF GUWAN HAMUDA HERALI PERALIYA

The SLAF recently carried out the wildly successful "Guwan Hamuda Herali Peraliya" project and advanced with the launch of schools throughout Sri Lanka. The main goal of this campaign is to assist the government's effort to attain food security, while it further aims to plant one million jackfruit trees around the country in a five-year period. Therefore, a phase of this significant event was conducted on May 23, 2023, at Sri Sumangala Girls' College in Panadura, under the instructions of the Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Sudarshana Pathirana.

The event was organized, featuring the active participation of the personnel from the SLAF, the respected Principal of Sri Sumangala Girls’ College, Mrs. Imali Thirimanna, as well as the teachers and enthusiastic students of the school.

By engaging the younger generation and utilizing educational institutions as centres of action, this endeavour exemplifies a harmonious fusion of national goals and educational development.

Sri Lanka Air Force stands as the sole gallant aerial force in the nation, skillfully projecting airpower over its airspace and supporting the operations of surface entities.
