SLAF station celebrated its 16th anniversary on 01 June 2023. The celebration commenced with the customary working parade which was reviewed by the Commanding Officer, Group Captain Vajira Jayakody .

Parallel to the anniversary celebrations, a shramadana campaign was conduted at ‘Ape Lamai’ orphanage and the road from Sub guard room to ‘Veda junction’ was cleared on 29 May 2023. Further, dry rations were distributed at ‘Ape Lamai’ orphanage on 31 May 2023.

The anniversary celebrations concluded with a friendly cricket tournament with the participation of all service personnel and the civil staff at the station sports ground followed by an all ranks lunch.
