The Inter Unit Practical Rifle Meet 2023 was conducted from 12 to 15 June 2023 and the awarding ceremony was taken place at the SLAF Firing Range at Station Ampara, with the graceful presence of the Deputy Chief of Staff, Air Vice Marshal RS Biyanwila.

SLAF Station Morawewa clinched the Championship in the Men’s category, while the SLAF Station Ampara secured the Championship in the Women’s category. SLAF Regiment Training School Vanni and SLAF Combat Training School Diyatalawa claimed the first and second runners-ups in the Men’s category and SLAF Academy China Bay and SLAF Station Colombo achieved the first and second Runners ups in the Women’s category respectively.

Moreover,  Flight Sergeant Senevirathna KNL from SLAF Station Palaly, possessed the award for the Best Men’s all-round shooter in the Championship and Corporal Indeewari DAA  from SLAF Station Colombo was crowned as the Best all-round shooter in the Women's category. The Best all-around Officer in this Championship was secured by Flight  Lieutenant DMCAK Bandarnayake from SLAF Station Morawewa.
