COMMANDER’S CUP INTER COMMAND ELEVEN A SIDE SOFT BALL CRICKET TOURNAMENT-2023

Commander’s Cup Inter Command Eleven a Side Soft Ball Cricket Tournament-2023 concluded yesterday (27 June 2023) at the Sports Ground SLAF Base Katunayake. The tournament conducted from 20 June 2023 to 27 June 2023 with the participation of all SLAF establishments representing three Air Commanders in great enthusiasm and team spirit. This tournament had been administered as per the Sri Lankan Cricket rules. Each team consisted of an Officer and Airmen of the particular establishments in their respective Air Command.
In the finals, SLAF Academy China Bay was bowled out for a score of 98 in 10 overs and 05 wickets. In reply, SLAF BASE Kat scored for 99 in 09 Overs 05 Balls and 09 Wickets.
The Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Sudarshana Pathirana, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. The event was attended by Chief of Staff, Air Vice Marshal Udeni Rajapaksa, Deputy Chief of Staff, Air Vice Marshal Roshan Biyanwila, members of Air Force Board Management, Air Force Non Board Management Directors, Command Officers, Air Commanders, members of the Air Force Sports Council, all other Senior Officers and other ranks to witness the finals.
