The Change of Command at SLAF Trade Training School Ekala took place today (05 July 2023) and the traditional handing over/taking over was conducted at the main auditorium. Air Commodore SPS Martino, USP, Msc (Def & Strat Stu), BSc (Def Stu) Aero Eng, C Eng, Pg Dip (HRM), GCGI (SL), FIE (SL), MIE (SL), MIET (UK), MIIE (SL), MR Ae S, psc the outgoing Commanding Officer, officially handed over the command to Group Captain KAPS Kuruwita MSc (Strat Stu), fawc.

Air Commodore SPS Martino, who has held the position of Commanding Officer since 31 August 2022, will assume new responsibilities at Air Force Headquarters as the Director Quality Assurance and Acting Director Aircraft Ground Support & Armament.

The newly appointed acting Commanding Officer, Group Captain KAPS Kuruwita, has also been assigned with the appointments of the Chief Recruiting Officer as well as to overlook the duties of Director Trade Training in the Sri Lanka Air Force.
