NEW CHAIRPERSON OF THE SLAF SEVA VANITHA UNIT ASSUMES OFFICE

The new Chairperson of SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs. Enoka Rajapaksa assumed office this morning (12 July 2023) at Air Force Headquarters.
In her inaugural address to the team, the Chairperson conveyed her future plans and outlined her vision for the Seva Vanitha Unit, emphasizing the significance of family lives for service personnel and their responsibility towards society and the entire Sri Lanka Air Force.
During the event, Mrs. Rajapaksa highlighted the paramount importance of supporting the well-being and welfare of the families of SLAF personnel. She highlighted the need for a harmonious balance between personal and professional lives and assured to strengthen the support systems available to the SLAF community.
In a gesture of support and collaboration, the Java Institute for Advanced Technology generously donated scholarships for deserving individuals. These scholarships were officially handed over to the Secretary of the Seva Vanitha Unit by the Chairperson during the occasion.
The event was graced by the presence of the Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Udeni Rajapaksa, who joined to congratulate the new Chairperson on assuming her duties. The newly appointed Secretary of the Seva Vanitha Unit, Squadron Leader Viludani Yatawara and Air Secretary, Group Captain Pradeep Piyarathne were present, along with other members of the Seva Vanitha Unit.
