The Change of Command at SLAF Trade Training School Ekala took place today (14 July 2023) and the traditional handing over/taking over parade was conducted at the station parade ground. Group Captain KAPS Kuruwita MSc (Strat Stu), fawc the acting Commanding Officer, officially handed over the command to Group Captain UCJ Piyasena USP, MSc (Elct Eng), BSc (Elect & Math Sc), Pg Dip (HR), Pg Dip (IR), psc.

Group Captain KAPS Kuruwita, who has held the position of Acting Commanding Officer of SLAF Trade Training School Ekala, will be resuming his responsibilities as Chief Recruiting Officer.

The newly appointed Commanding Officer, Group Captain UCJ Piyasena, has also been assigned as acting Director Trade Training in the Sri Lanka Air Force.
