The SLAF Station Iranamadu undertook Special Community Service projects yesterday (14 July 2023) aimed at providing support to low-income families residing in close proximity to the Station, as well as to the families of civilian staff associated with the Station. These projects entailed the distribution of essential dry ration packs to address their immediate needs. Additionally, a distribution of school uniforms was organized for the school children at the  Primary School Kalmadunagar, Kilinochchi, under the guidance of the Commanding Officer of SLAF Station Iranamadu, Group Captain Sulochana Marapperuma.

This initiative was made possible through the generous sponsorship of Farms Lanka Private Limited, with Mr. Clarence Mendis, the Managing Director of Farms Lanka PVT Ltd, playing a pivotal role in supporting the cause. The programmes were attended by all officers and a cross-section of airmen at the Station.
