The Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Udeni Rajapaksa, made his first official call on the Prime Minister, Hon. Dinesh Gunewardena, today (17 July 2023) at the Prime Minister’s Office.

This visit signifies the Commander's first official meeting with the Prime Minister since assuming duties as the 19th Commander of the Sri Lanka Air Force. During the ensuing cordial discussion, the Prime Minister conveyed his best wishes to Air Marshal Rajapaksa on his new appointment as the Commander of the Air Force.

The Commander presented a memento to the Prime Minister to mark this historical occasion.
