The finals of Inter Unit Netball Championship 2023 were held yesterday (20 July 2023) at SLAF Health Management Center, Colombo. The Chairperson of SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs. Enoka Rajapaksa graced the finals and Awarding Ceremony as the Chief Guest. Chairperson SLAF Netball, Air Commodore Sureka Dias, Base Commander SLAF Base Ratmalana, Air Commodore Amal Perera, Commanding Officer SLAF Station Colombo, Air Commodore Suresh Fernando and members of the Air Force Sports Council attended to witness the finals.

SLAF Base Ratmalana clinched the Inter Unit Netball Championship 2023 beating SLAF Academy China Bay by 27-09 in the finals. Leading Aircraftwoman Herath HMMK was adjudged Best Shooter while Flight Lieutenant Nimesha Satharasinghe was awarded as the Best Defence who represented SLAF Base Ratmalana. Flight Lieutenant Manushi de Silva from SLAF Base Ratmalana emerged as the Best Centre Court Player. Further, Flight Lieutenant Vinma Rathnasooriya of SLAF Base Ratmalana was crowned as the Netball Queen of the Inter Unit Netball Championship 2023.
