The Department of Management Audit at the Ministry of Finance, Economic Stabilization, and National Policies conducted a two-day workshop for Internal Audit Officers, Officers handling public audit matters at the directorate/division level and audit assistants of the SLAF on 26 and 27 July 2023. The aim of the workshop was to enhance their professional knowledge and skills in public accounting and auditing.

The workshop was conducted by Mrs. S.A. Chandrika Kulathilaka, Director-General of the Department of Management Audit at the Ministry of Finance, Economic Stabilization, and National Policies, along with a team of resource personnel. It was attended by 27 officers and 33 other ranks.

The workshop was initiated under the guidance of Acting Director Internal Audit (Service), Group Captain R R Somathilake and was supervised by Staff Officer Internal Audit I, Wing Commander WMMS Chandrasekara and Staff Officer Internal Audit II, Wing Commander WABC Rupasinghe, from the SLAF Internal Audit Division.

Towards the end of the workshop, the Acting Director Internal Audit (Service) presented a special token of appreciation to the resource personnel, commending their contribution in imparting knowledge on the subject of public accounting and auditing.
