The Sri Lanka Air Force official website (www.airforce.lk) was adjudged as the most popular government website and was awarded the 'Gold Award' in the Government Category along with a Merit Award for the overall performance in the 'Best Web Competition- 2023' organized by the LK Domain Registry to recognize the best websites in Sri Lanka.

The Director of Information Technology, Group Captain Asitha Hettiarachchi, Commanding Officer No1 Information Technology Wing, Wing Commander Sampath Kumara and Team leader of the SLAF Web Development Team, Squadron leader Lasitha Pushpakumara represented the SLAF at the Awards ceremony. The awards ceremony was on 09 August 2023 at the Monarch Imperial, Sri Jayawardenepura Kotte.

The awards were officially handed over today (11 August 2023) to the Commander of the Air Force Air Marshal Udeni Rajapaksa, by the Director of Information Technology, Group Captain Asitha Hettiarachchi and Wing Commander Sampath Kumara and Team leader of the SLAF Web Development Team, Squadron leader Lasitha Pushpakumara and Flying Officer HSD Subasinghe from the No 1 Information Technology Wing SLAF Base Ratmalana also attended to the occasion.
