SLAF STATION COLOMBO EXCELS AT THE INTER UNIT CYCLING CHAMPIONSHIP 2023

The Inter Unit Cycling Championship for the year 2023 was successfully concluded at SLAF Station Katukurunda on 14 August to 15 August 2023
This year events were held to select best Sporting Unit in Cycling under the categories of Individual Time Trial for MEN and WOMEN and Criterion Race for MEN and WOMEN.
The flagship event of the Championship, the Men’s Criterion Race was conducted on 15 August 2023 in front of a large gathering of spectators.

The Director General Aeronautical Engineering and Chairman SLAF Basket Ball, Air Vice Marshal Ranjith Senananayake graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. The Commanding Officer SLAF Station Colombo and Chairman SLAF Soccer Air Commodore Suresh Fernando and the Director Sports, Group Captain Samantha Weerasekera were also present at the occasion.
SLAF Station Colombo won both Team Championships in the Men’s and Women’s categories while the Technical Formation Katunayake became the Runners Up in the Men’s and SLAF Academy China Bay became the Runners Up in the Women’s category.
