Renowned Tennis player, Aircraftman Ashen Silva, the veteran of the SLAF Tennis pool clinched the popular men’s Open singles title at the esteemed 109th  National Tennis championship. Ashen, lived up to expectation as the top seed and came from behind with a fine performance to beat the third seed Chathurya Nelaweera in the men’s single final after a thrilling four-setter.

AC Silva’s outstanding success at the National Tennis championship further hardened his status as a champion in the national tennis circuit.  The toumament, Organized by the Sri Lanka Tennis Association. Stands as the foremost national-level competition in the country.
