The Change of Command of SLAF Station Ampara was held yesterday (23 August 2023). The traditional Handing Over/ Taking Over parade was conducted at the Parade Square where the Acting Commanding Officer, Wing Commander PSW Molligoda RSP,USP, BA (Def Stu) handed over the command to Group Captain DSMLK Sugathadasa USP, MSc (Def & Strat Stu), Pg Dip (Def Mgt), psc.

The new Commanding Officer, Group Captain DSMLK Sugathadasa previously held the appointment as Director Performing Arts at the SLAF Base Katunayake before being appointed as the Commanding Officer of SLAF Station Ampara.
