The Defence Services Games Karate 2023 was conducted on 13, 18 and 19 September 2023 and the Awarding Ceremony was held at the SLAF Health Management Center, Colombo with the graceful presence of the Director General Training, Air Vice Marshal Lasitha Sumanaweera as the Chief Guest.

SLAF Women’s Karate Teams secured the Championship in Women’s whilst SLAF Men’s Team claimed the Runners –Up.

SLAF Karate Team bagged eight Gold, seven Silver and nine Bronze Medals, bagging the highest number of Gold Medals in the Championship and managed to lead Gold Medals list amongst the Tri Forces.

Director General Aeronautical Engineering Air Vice Marshal Muditha Mahawatthage, Chairman SLAF Karate, Air Commodore Gihan Senevirathne, Director Sports, Group Captain Samantha Weerasekara, Secretary Air Force Sports Counsil, Group Captain Eranda Geeganage, Members of the Tri-services Sports Councils and the invitees attended the ceremony.
