Sri Lanka Air Force 60th Anniversary which fell on 2 March, 2011 was celebrated in several SLAF camps located in the island. Various events were held by the respective SLAF establishments to commemorate the event.

Celebrations were begun with religious observations, while working parades were held at the establishments on the day of the anniversary.

Sramadhana campaigns, social service programmes and various welfare projects were conducted by a number of camps in lieu of the anniversary celebrations which marked six decades of service excellence in the motherland by the Sri
Lanka Air Force.
