SLAF SEVA VANITHA UNIT ORGANIZES WORLD CHILDREN’S DAY CELEBRATIONS-2023 AT PEARL BAY WATER PARK - BANDARAGAMA

The Sri Lanka Air Force Seva Vanitha Unit organized a World Children's Day Celebration on yesterday (30 September 2023), at the "Pearl Bay" water park in Bandaragama. The event aimed to provide a memorable experience for the children of servicemen/servicewomen and civilians from various Air Force establishments. Over 1,000 children participated in this event.
Numerous entertainment activities were arranged alongside the Pearl Bay leisure activities. These activities included an Air Dogs show, a display by the Air Force Band, showcasing winning dance performances from all-island school dancing competitions held at Horana Taxila College and Walgama Sri Saddathissa College, kids' face painting, a performance by the Royal College SAGA orchestra, a drone and model aircraft display by Gampaha Bandaranayake College, special children's games, and screen tests organized by the Swarnavahini media channel, among many other events.
Additionally, the event included a prize-awarding ceremony for the "Guwan Ran-Daru Siththam" art competition. Air Marshal Udeni Rajapaksa, the Commander of the Air Force, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Chief of Staff, Members of the Air Force Board of Management, Executive Director and Acting CEO of Pearl Bay Water Park, Mr. Gribson Hapukotuwa and the management of Pearl Bay Water Park, along with Chief Operating Officer of EAP Broadcasting, Mr. Udara Wijesinghe, teachers, children from invited schools, other guests, parents and children, all attended this vibrant and colourful event.
