The Boxing Association of Sri Lanka (BASL) organized the Men's and Women's "Layton Cup Boxing Meet - 2023," which took place from 01 to 04 October 2023, at the Sugathadasa Indoor Stadium in Colombo 11. The SLAF Boxing team participated and demonstrated exceptional achievements by securing seven Gold, two Silver, and four Bronze medals at this prestigious Boxing Meet. Prominent Boxing teams in Sri Lanka, including the SL Army, SL Navy, Police and various well-established Boxing clubs, participated in the Layton Cup Boxing Meet. This event holds significant recognition as a major annual Boxing Meet in Sri Lanka, allowing exceptional Boxing players who have excelled in the Novices and Intermediate Boxing Championships to compete.
