SLAF Base Anuradhapura celebrated its 41st anniversary today (09 November 2023). The anniversary celebrations were commenced with the customary working parade, followed by an address from the Acting Base Commander, Group Captain MART Munasinghe. Preceding the Base day celebrations, various programs were undertaken, including a Shramadana campaign at the 4th mile post temple on 24 October 2023, a blood donation program at the Base hospital on 06 November 2023 and a Community Service Project at the "Sathutu" Children’s Home premises in Anuradhapura on both 07 and 08 November 2023.

The Community Service Project encompassed a Dental Clinic, Alms Giving and a Shramadana Campaign conducted at the "Sathutu" Children’s Home premises in Anuradhapura. Throughout this period, efforts were dedicated to cleaning the Children’s Home buildings, lavatories and surroundings, while the play area underwent renovation and colour washing.

Furthermore, the celebration concluded with sports activities and an all-ranks lunch, which saw the participation of both service and civilian personnel of the Base.
