A two-day workshop for SLAF Pre-School teachers in the year 2023 took place at the Conference Hall at SLAF Trade Training School Ekala on 11 and 12 November 2023. The workshop was conducted under the supervision of the Director General of Welfare, Air Commodore Suresh Fernando. The Chairperson of the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs. Enoka Rajapaksa, graced both occasions as the Chief Guest.

The workshop was led by Technical Adviser Dr. Thushari Koralage and the acting Principal of Giggles International Montessori, Ms. Savini Thennakoon. All Pre-school teachers of the SLAF participated in the event, which featured lectures and discussions on early childhood education and the development of pre-school children. The workshop demonstrated how teachers can integrate activity games and group work into their classroom teaching for more effective learning outcomes. Teachers exhibited enthusiasm for learning the latest teaching techniques and had the opportunity to practice selected activities during the workshop.

The event was attended by the Director General of Welfare, the Commanding Officer of SLAF Trade Training School Ekala, along with their spouses, the spouse of the Air Secretary, the Director of Internal and Public Welfare, Group Captain Nandika Salgado and the Staff Officer II of Welfare, Group Captain Malitha Ranrajeewana.
