No 1 Air Defence Radar Squadron of the Sri Lanka Air Force commemorated its fifth anniversary on 10 March 2011 at its home base, SLAF Base,Katunayake.

The commemorative activities held in view of the anniversary took the form of social responsibility with a Shamadhana campaign at the Vimalawansharama Temple, Kumarathunga Munidasa Mawatha, Katunayake. All Squadron personnel played an active part in the day's activities.
