SLAF Station Katukurunda celebrated its 39th anniversary on 16 November 2023, with a focus on community and environmental initiatives. The celebration commenced with the customary working parade. Under the guidance of the Commanding Officer SLAF Station Katukurunda, Group Captain MP Abeywickrama, the day included a tree planting ceremony emphasizing environmental protection.

Following the proceedings a friendly cricket tournament was organized to foster camaraderie, while an all-rank lunch strengthened unity among personnel, highlighting their shared commitment to the station and the nation.
