The 'Guwan Mithudam' community service project was successfully concluded today (20 November 2023) at Weerawila Vidyartha Vidyalaya by SLAF Station Weerawila, under the guidance of the Chairperson of Sri Lanka Air Force Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs. Enoka Rajapaksa.
 
The project involved renovating and colour washing the school washrooms and installation of a water tank for this school. This project was initiated on October 2023 and handed over to students by the Commanding Officer of SLAF Station Weerawila, Group Captain SP Jayasinghe.

Financial assistance for the project was jointly provided by the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit and the Service Institute Fund of SLAF Station Weerawila. The ceremony was attended by a cross-section of officers, airmen/airwomen and representatives from the school including the principal, teachers, students and parents of children.
