INTER UNIT BASEBALL CHAMPIONSHIP – 2023
The final session and awards ceremony of the Inter Unit Baseball Championship – 2023 was held at the SLAF Trade Training School Ekala yesterday (15 December 2023) under the guidance of Chairman Sri Lanka Air Force Baseball, Group Captain Chandimal Hettiarachchi. Director General Electronics and Computer Engineering, Air Commodore Damian Weerasinghe graced the occasion as the chief guest.
The overall Women’s Team Championship was secured by SLAF Base Katunayake while Regiment Formation of SLAF Base Katunayake became runners-up at the final match played at SLAF Trade Training School Ekala.
The Men’s Championship was announced as joint champions due to adverse weather conditions and it was shared among SLAF Academy China Bay and SLAF Station Colombo.
The event was attended by Commanding Officer SLAF Trade Training School Ekala, Group Captain Uditha Piyasena, Members of the Air Force Sports Council and other distinguished invitees.
