The 9th Aviation Contingent of Sri Lanka Air Force was deployed in the United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in the Central African Republic (MINUSCA). The Change of Command took place at the Sri Lanka Aviation Unit in Bria, Central African Republic on 14 December 2023.

Wing Commander PR Herath the outgoing Contingent Commander of the 8th Contingent, handed over the command to Wing Commander RMAU Ratnayake the Contingent Commander of the 9th deployment at the Contingent Commander’s office.
