The traditional Handing Over/ Taking Over Parade of SLAF Base Ratmalana took place today (27 December 2023) where the Base Commander, Air Commodore WPAH Perera RSP and Bar, MSc (Def & Strat Stu), MA (SSS - USA), BSc (Def Stu), ndc (India) ctf-ndu, psc handed over to Air Commodore AV Jayasekera WWV and Bar, RWP, RSP and two bar, USP, fawc (Pak), psc, qfi.

The new Base Commander, Air Commodore Jayasekera successfully graduated from the National Defence College in Bangladesh before being appointed to command SLAF Base Ratmalana.
