EP&AU OF SLAF BASE KATUNAYAKE CELEBRATES 13TH ANNIVERSARY

Equipment Provisioning and Accounting Unit (EP&AU) SLAF Base Katunayake celebrated its 13th Anniversary today (01 January 2023) under the guidance of the Commanding Officer, Group Captain RML Randeniya.
The Unit was established on 01st January 2011 as an independent formation under the command of Wing Commander KR Eramudugolla. Since then, 14 Commanding Officers have commanded the unit up to date.
In line with the 13th anniversary of this unit, a social gathering was conducted with the participation of all the staff members and the same was graced by the Director General Logistics, Air Vice Marshal SMSP Koswatta and Base Commander SLAF Base Katunayake, Air Vice Marshal SDGM Silva.
Further, the customary working parade was conducted today (01st January 2024) at the unit parade ground, which was reviewed by Commanding Officer Group Captain RML Randeniya and followed by an address to the Officers, Other Rankers and Civil Staff where he extended his gratitude to all members of the unit for the contribution made to maintain the prevailing success of the unit. He recalled all who have contributed to the success of the unit with deep gratitude. Following the parade, a tree-planting programme was conducted at the Unit premises.
Marking the end of the celebrations, the Commanding Officer and staff paid a visit to the “Isabela Elders Home," Makavita, Gampaha to donate dry ration packs in light of the kindness and generosity among the elderly.
