The outgoing Commanding Officer Wing Commander PS Liyanarachchi RWP, RSP and four Bars, USP, MSc (Def & Strat Stu), BSc (Def Stu), Pg Dip (Con & Pea Stu), psc handed over the Command of the No. 7 Helicopter Squadron at Sri Lanka Air Force Base Hingurakgoda to Wing Commander HK Liyanarachchi USP yesterday (03 January 2024). The traditional Handing Over/Taking Over parade was held at No 7 Squadron premises.

The outgoing Commanding Officer, Wing Commander PS Liyanarachchi took over the command at No. 7 Helicopter Squadron on the 28th November 2023. The new Commanding Officer, Wing Commander HK Liyanarachchi previously deployed UN Mission in Central Africa

The new Commanding Officer addressed all Squadron personnel and appreciated the dedicated service of his predecessor and acknowledged the enormous progress made during his tenure. He also requested all personnel to continue their work with the same dedication and enthusiasm.
