SLAF SEVA VANITHA UNIT CONDUCTS A COMMUNITY SERVICE PROJECT AT GALAPITAGALA PURWARAMA TEMPLE

Eye clinic and distribution of reading glasses to the Civil Community was carried out at Galapitagala Purwarama Temple on 14 January 2024 as a Community Service Project of the Sri Lanka Air Force Seva Vanitha Unit under the guidance of the Chairperson of the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs. Enoka Rajapaksha.
Accepting the invitation of Sri Lanka Air Force, Managing Director of George Gooneratne Opticians, Mr Lakshman Abeygoonaratne and his staff participated and gave their fullest cooperation to make this community service a success.
The programme was supervised under the guidance of Commanding Officer SLAF Station Ampara, Group Captain Lalith Sugathadasa.

More than 150 civil personnel received the assistance during the campaign and the local community showed great enthusiasm and appreciation for the SLAF's efforts in organizing the event.
