The change of command of No 61 Flight  Ratmalana was held today (16 January 2024). The handing over/ taking over parade was conducted where the outgoing Acting Flight Commander, Wing Commander JAR Jayawickrama MSc (Def & Strat Stu), psc handed over the command to Wing Commander AR Pathirage WWV and Bar, RSP and Bar, USP, Pg Dip (Def Mgt) as the 11th Flight Commander of the No 61 Flight.

The outgoing Acting Flight Commander, Wing Commander JAR Jayawickrama will take over the appointment of Staff Officer Doctrine and Training Development at the Directorate of Planning in Sri Lanka Air Force Headquarters.

Wing Commander AR Pathirage previously held the appointment of Officer Commanding Operations in the No. 7 Helicopter Squadron at SLAF Base Hingurakgoda
