The Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Udeni Rajapaksa declared open the newly constructed 5 Storey Officers’ Married Quarters building at SLAF Base Ratmalana today (01 February 2024).

The opening ceremony commenced with the unveiling of the commemorative plaque and the symbolic handing over of the keys to the recipients of the new houses was done by the Commander. The Air Force Board of Management, The Base Commander SLAF Base Ratmalana, Air Commodore Asela Jayasekera, Formation Commanding Officers, officers and family members of house recipients also attended the occasion.  

The complex comprises 08 apartments in 4 stories, with 3 bedrooms, a bathroom, dining/living areas, a pantry/kitchen, a servant’s bathroom and a balcony in each apartment. The complex has its parking facility at the ground level.
