The CEO of ASL Aerospace in the United Kingdom, Mr. Brian Poulier, extended financial assistance in support of the 'Wings of Friendship' major project, aligning with the 73rd anniversary of the SLAF. This major endeavour consists of three sub-projects: renovating 73 deserving schools, donating 73,000 books to schoolchildren and planting 73,000 saplings in the Northern Province. The symbolic cheque, signifying the monetary donation of 2.5 million rupees, was handed over to the Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Udeni Rajapaksa, at the Air Force Headquarters on 06 February 2024.

This significant event was attended by ASL Aerospace's sales directors, Mr. Varun Kapoor and Mr. Vajira Wickremasinghe, alongside the Director General of Aeronautical Engineering and Head of the Organizing Committee of the Education Exhibition and Air Tattoo 2024, Air Vice Marshal Muditha Mahawattege.
