CHIEF OF DEFENCE STAFF GRACES AIR TATTOO 2024 EXHIBITION ON DAY TWO

The second day of the 'Air Tattoo 2024' technological and educational exhibition commenced today (07 March 2024) at Muttraweli Ground in Jaffna, opening its doors to the public. The exhibition is scheduled to remain accessible until 10 p.m.

The second day was honoured by the presence of the Chief of Defence Staff, General Shavendra Silva, who graced the event as the Chief Guest. The Chief Guest was warmly welcomed by the Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Udeni Rajapaksa.

During the exhibition, the Commander engaged in friendly discussions with the young minds of future Sri Lanka, creating an environment of motivating learning and growth. The ceremony was attended by Governor of Chamber of Commerce and Industries of Yalpanam, Mr. TY Sundearasan, Chief of Staff of the SLAF, members of the Air Force Board of Management, Tri-forces officers, other invitees and significantly schoolchildren.

Sri Lanka Air Force stands as the sole gallant aerial force in the nation, skillfully projecting airpower over its airspace and supporting the operations of surface entities.
