NO. 2 AIR DEFENCE RADAR SQUADRON AT SLAF BASE VAVUNIYA CELEBRATES 18TH ANNIVERSARY

The No. 2 Air Defence Radar Squadron at SLAF Base Vavuniya celebrated the 18th anniversary yesterday 10 March 2024. The squadron was originally established on 10 March 2006, with the Indra MK II Radar system. The proceedings commenced with a Parade which was observed by the Commanding Officer,  Wing Commander RMSN Ranasinghe, followed by a religious ceremony to invoke blessings.

A Shramadana campaign was conducted today (11 March 2024) at Mahakongaskada Primary School to clean the school premises. Additionally, a lunch was offered to the school children and stationery items were also distributed among them.

Sri Lanka Air Force stands as the sole gallant aerial force in the nation, skillfully projecting airpower over its airspace and supporting the operations of surface entities.
