The Sri Lanka Air Force officially handed over the ownership of the former Air Force Headquarters building to the Sri Lanka Police, who will undertake its conversion into the new Sri Lanka Police Headquarters effective today (15 March 2024). The ceremony was attended by the Secretary to the Ministry of Defence, General Kamal Guneratne (Retd), Secretary of Public Security, Mr. Viyani Gunathilaka, Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Udeni Rajapaksa, the Inspector General of Police, Mr. Deshabandu Tennakoon, members of the Air Force Board of Management and Police officials.
