The 'Guwan Mithudam' Community Service project concluded successfully on 14 March 2024, at NCP/A/TH/G Handungamuwa Vidyalaya, facilitated by SLAF Base Anuradhapura. The Chairperson of SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs. Enoka Rajapaksa, honoured the event as the Chief Guest and the new water supply system was officially handed over to the Principal of NCP/A/TH/G Handungamuwa Vidyalaya.

The project was under the supervision of the Base Commander of SLAF Base Anuradhapura, Air Commodore Amitha Jayamaha and coordinated by the Officer in Charge of Base Seva Vanitha Unit, Wing Commander CC Manikgamaarachchi. It was initiated by the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit, jointly funded by Mr. Prasanth Wijedasa, a donor from the USA and the “Husma” plan, with manpower provided by the Sri Lanka Air Force.

The ceremony was attended by officers, other ranks, and representatives from the school, including the Principal, teachers, parents and students.
