The 'Guwan Mithudam' Community Service project concluded successfully on 14 March 2024, at A/Katukaliyawa Vidyadeepa Maha Vidyalaya Galkadawala, by the Sri Lanka Air Force Base Anuradhapura. The Chairperson of the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs. Enoka Rajapaksha, graced the event as the Chief Guest. The renovated lavatory complex was handed over to the Principal of A/Katukaliyawa Vidyadeepa Maha Vidyalaya by the Chief Guest.

The project was supervised by the Base Commander of SLAF Base Anuradhapura, Air Commodore Amitha Jayamaha and coordinated by the Officer in charge of the Base Seva Vanitha Unit, Wing Commander CC Manikgamaarachchi. This project commenced through the joint funding of the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit's 'Husma' plan and Mr. Prasanth Wijedasa, a donor from the USA. The manpower was provided by the Sri Lanka Air Force.

The ceremony was attended by officers, other ranks and representatives from the school, including the Principal, teachers, parents, and students.
