SLAF STATION BATTICALOA CELEBRATES 41ST ANNIVERSARY


SLAF Station Batticaloa celebrated its 41st Anniversary yesterday (27 March 2024) with the series of events including sports event, Tree planting programme and community service projects under the guidance of the Commanding Officer, Group Captain KHMSS Bandara.

Moreover,  as a part of the commitment to the community service projects ‘Shramadana Campaigns’ were conducted at Punitha Annammal Tamil College and Puthur Vigneshwara Vidyalaya and also included the opening of newly repaired all religious shrines at the station premises on 25 March 2024. In addition, a Tree plantation programme was conducted in collaboration with Forest Department yesterday. Further, an Elle tournament was organized with the participation of all ranks and civilian staff to boost camaraderie and team spirit.

The anniversary day celebration culminated with a tombola event graced by the presence of the Commanding Officer as the chief guest. All Officers, other ranks and civil staff participated in all the events.
