COMMANDER’S INSPECTION AT SRI LANKA AIR FORCE STATION SIGIRIYA

The Commander of the Sri Lanka Air Force, Air Marshal Udeni Rajapaksa conducted the Commander’s Inspection at Sri Lanka Air Force Station Sigiriya yesterday (05 April 2024).
The Commander was received by the Commanding Officer, Group Captain SV Premawardhana, where the commander was accorded a street line. The Commander awarded a Certificate of Commendation to the following Airman for his meritorious contribution to the Station in particular and to the Air Force in general.
Corporal Kahagalla KDKS – Operations Ground III
During the course of the inspection, the Commander visited the Station Headquarters, Equipment Section, Tailoring Section, Police Section, Officer’s Transit – II, Hospitality Management School, Airwomen Billet, JNCOs’ Club, Training Billet, WOs’ and SNCOs Mess, Armory, No. 47 Regt Wing, Air Traffic Control Tower, Intelligence Section, Airmen’s & Airwomen’s Social Club, MI Room, Electronic Section, MT Section, Welfare Section, Officer’s Mess and visited the proposed site for the 18-hole Golf Course, the proposed site for the Hotel Project and the Motor Racing Track which was under construction.
In conclusion, the Commander addressed all the service personnel at the Station and he thanked them for their dedicated services to the nation and the SLAF and encouraged them to maintain standards at the highest level.
