SLAF BODYBUILDERS SHINE AT THE 75TH MR SRI LANKA BODYBUILDING COMPETITION

The Bodybuilders of the Sri Lanka Air Force were able to create a lasting impression at the prestigious 75th Mr. Sri Lanka Bodybuilding Competition held yesterday (05 April 2024) at the Nawaloka Sports Ground.
Corporal Rathnayake KACCJ was able to secure the Gold medal in the 85kg Category, while Aircraftman Fernando GUI won the Gold Medal at in the 85+kg category, bringing glory to the Sri Lanka Air Force. Aircraftman Fernando GUI was also placed 3rd among the best six Bodybuilders in the Title round. In addition, 5th place in both the 65kg and 70kg categories was also secured by Air Force Bodybuilders.
The occasion was graced by Minister of Toursim, Lands, Sports and Youth Affairs, Hon. Harin Fernando as the Cheif Guest and the event was attended by over 150 Bodybuilding enthusiasts representing reputed Bodybuilding clubs in Sri Lanka. Further, representing the Sri Lanka Air Force, the Secretary of SLAF Bodybuilding, Group Captain Malitha Rangodage along with the Assistant Secretary of SLAF Bodybuilding, Wing Commander Prasad Kulathunga, attended the event.
The “Mr. Sri Lanka” competition is considered the pinnacle of Bodybuilding competitions in the country.
