Twenty-one (21) newly enlisted Student Officers in the 78th Intake of Direct Entry Officer administered their oaths today (14 May 2024) at Air Force Headquarters in the presence of the Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Udeni Rajapaksa. This was done prior to their departure for their Basic Ground Combat Training at Sri Lanka Air Force Combat Training School, Diyatalawa.

The Commander congratulated the newly enlisted student officers and conveyed his best wishes for their future endeavours during the ceremony. The Chief of Staff and members of the Air Force Board of Management were also present for the occasion.
