INTER-UNIT VOLLEYBALL AND BEACH VOLLEYBALL CHAMPIONSHIPS - 2024

The Inter-Unit Volleyball and Beach Volleyball Championships - 2024 were held from 02 to 13 May 2024 and the finals yesterday (14 May 2024) at SLAF Base Katunayaka. The Deputy Chief of Staff, Air Vice Marshal SMSP Koswatta, graced the finals and award ceremony as the chief guest.
The Inter-Unit Beach Volleyball Championship in Men's was secured by SLAF Base Anuradhapura and Women's Championship was crowned by SLAF Station Colombo. Further, SLAF Base Vauniya and SLAF Academy China Bay emerged as Runners -up in Men's and Women's categories, respectively. Moreover, the Inter-Unit Indoor Volleyball Championships in Men's and Women’s categories were clinched by SLAF Station Colombo. In addition, the Runner-up victories were received by SLAF Base Hingurakgoda in Men's and SLAF TTS Ekala in Women’s category.
The occasion was attended by the Chairman SLAF Volleyball Air Vice Marshal PN De Costa, Base Commander SLAF Base Katunayaka Air Vice Marshal SDGM Silva, Director Sports Air Commodore WASB Weerasekara and the members of the Air Force Sports Council.
