COMMANDER’S INSPECTION AT SLAF STATION BATTICALOA

The Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Udeni Rajapaksa, conducted the Commander’s Inspection at SLAF Station Batticaloa today (17 May 2024).
The Commander was received by the Commanding Officer, Group Captain KHMSS Bandara, where the Commander was accorded a Street Line.
During the course of inspection, the Commander visited the Station Headquarters, Main Guard Room, Welfare Shop Complex, Pre School, “Lagoon Breeze” Officers’ Holiday Home, Eagle Billet, MI Room, Airmen’s Social Club, Junior Non-Commissioned Officers' Club, Armoury, Air Traffic Controlling Tower, Fire Section, Equipment Section, MT Section, Warrant Officers’ and Senior Non-Commissioned Officers’ Mess and No. 29 Regiment Wing. Concluding the inspection, the Commander awarded two (02) Certificates of Commendation to the following Airmen for their meritorious contribution to the Station in particular and to the Air Force in general.

Leading Aircraftsman Karunadasan D – Wood Technician III
In conclusion, the Commander addressed all the service personnel at the station, conveyed his appreciation for their dedicated services to the Nation and the SLAF. Further, the Commander encouraged all the service and civilian personnel of the station to maintain standards at the highest level.
