A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed between the Agriculture and Agrarian Insurance Board at the Air Force Headquarters today (20 May 2024). The occasion was attended in the presence of the Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Udeni Rajapaksa and the Chairman of the Agriculture and Agrarian Insurance Board, Prof. WMMB Weerasekara.

The objective of this agreement is to assist the Agriculture and Agrarian Insurance Board in timely providing and utilising Drone Technology from the SLAF for monitoring and assessing crop damage due to natural calamities in order to expedite compensation processes for local agriculturists and ensure effective disaster response.
